Acne Jojoba Oil

My moderate-severe acne is killin' me!!!?
What I have tried to get rid of acne:
Proactiv
Clearasil
Jojoba Oil
Rite Aid Acne Treatment
Oxy
Stridex
Differin
Retin-A
Duac
Salycilic Acid
BenzaClin
Adoxa
Biore
Clean & Clear
and PLENTY MORE
....the problem....
NONE HAVE WORKED even the LEAST!!
sooo....
I'm stuck with horrifying moderate-severe acne
Has anyone tried anything besides the things above (& preferably not accutane) that they reccomend!?!??!
Thank you soo much!
As somebody who had acne, I understand your frustration - but before you start using accutane, this is what left my skin pretty much clear:
2 x Multivitamin pills
2000mg vitamin C
15mg Zinc (I took a bit more)
Niacin 100mg (for the first month)
Vitamin E 400mg
Spread out the intake of the multivitamins and the Vitamin C over the day (perhaps morning and night). Each of these vitamins play a role in the wellbeing of your skin, but never forget that you also have to be careful about what you eat. There's a few ridiculous studies out there that say diet has nothing to do with acne - this is rubbish, I've seen it myself. Diet plays an extremely important role in the appearance of your skin and cutting down your sugar and fat intake should help you. I stopped eating junk food, chocolate etc.
Aside from the vitamins, I would strongly recommend you use a good 5% - 10 % benzoyl peroxide cream (depending on how sensetive your skin is). Now, I'm sure you've tried this before but maybe didn't use it correctly, or didn't wait long enough. You should always wash your face before applying it. I suggest washing with this product:

and alternating with this twice a week:
http://www.shave.com/store/prod/kos/kosascfs_info.stm?sid=Q
Then you apply the cream. This cream, as you may now, completely drains your skin, so after you apply it and it has been absorbed it is crucial that you use a moisturiser (oil-free). READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! The brand I used was Quinoderm (www.quinoderm.com), but this may not be available where you live. Ask your pharmacist.
You should really use this cream for a few months before you make up your mind about it. My skin got a lot worse before it got better, and 3 months after I started using it I could see a big improvement. If this works for you, you can then start thinking about cutting down on the cream as it isn't the healthiest thing.
So, every morning and every night you should:
- Take your vitamins (after breakfeast/dinner)
- wash your face (exfoliate twice a week instead)
- rub in the benzoyl peroxide cream until absorbed
- apply oil-free moisturiser
and eat healthy food!
I know this is quite a commitment but don't break the cycle and keep this up for a few months. Always use the same brands over the course - hope this helps, good luck!
P.S. If you're a girl, NO MAKE UP! In fact, if you're a girl, go to your doctor and ask him about taking birth control pills to treat your acne - definitely better than having to use accutane which can cause depression and birth defects. http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0815/is_n110_v13/ai_6559264

jojoba oil in moisturizer
Carrier Oils in Aromatherapy
Carrier oils provide much needed lubrication allowing hands to move freely over the skin, helping with the absorption of essential oils into the body. Carrier oils are light, non sticky and effectively penetrate the skin. They should be 100% pure, unrefined and cold pressed.
1 drop of essential oil = 1 tsp of carrier oil for 1% dilution. 2 drops essential oil to 1 tsp of carrier oil = 2% dilution and so on.
Commonly used carrier oils
- Apricot Kernel Oil - light, easily absorbed and moisturizes both the body and face well. Contains vitamin E. Extracted from the kernel of apricot fruit, it is pale yellow in colour. Vitamins A & B help in healing and rejuvenating skin cells. Good for all skin types especially for sensitive, inflamed and dry skin. Excellent oil for facial, leaving the face soft and supple.
- Avocado Oil - Rich in lecithin, vitamins, A, D, & E. Easily penetrates the skin, acts as sunscreen and helps in cell regeneration. Mix zinc oxide in half bottle of avocado oil and apply on skin that is exposed to the sun. Delays anti aging as it is rich in essential fatty acids. For intensive facial treatment for mature skin, refined Avocado oil is preferred as it lacks odor.
- Grape seed Oil - Odorless unlike most oils, it is light and good for skin not absorbing other oils. No greasy feeling after application. Slightly astringent, it tightens, tones the skin and alleviates acne. An ideal carrier for body massage.
- Jojoba Oil - One of the best oils for hair and skin. Penetrates the skin quickly, excellent for skin nourishment. Heals inflamed skin, psoriasis, eczema, or any sort of dermatitis. Controls acne, oily skin or scalp as excess sebum dissolves in jojoba. Good for all skin types, but clogs pores sometimes. Good base oil for treating rheumatism and arthritis. Promotes healthy, glowing complexion.
- Rosehip Oil - Called the queen of carrier oil. Good oil for cosmetic, cell regeneration prevents premature skin aging and softens wrinkles. Good for eczema, psoriasis, PMS and menopause. When combined with calendula oil, it treats stretch marks, burns or scars. Cold pressed from the seeds of rose hips, it pale yellow light texture. Wonderful carrier oil for skin care.
- Sweet Almond Oil - Popular carrier oil in body massage. Lubricates and moisturizes the skin. Good for all skin types, especially eczema. Quickly absorbs into the skin, leaving your skin to feel soft and non greasy. Provides relief from itching, soreness, dryness, inflammation. Rich in proteins and vitamin D.
- Calendula Oil - infusion of marigold flowers, renowned for its soothing properties. Balances excessively oily skin, can be used alone or blended with almond or grape seed oil for body massage.
- Evening primrose oil - Perfect skincare oil for moisturizing, softening and soothing to dry and irritated skin.
- Wheat germ oil - highly nourishing oil with vitamin E. Perfect oil for dry, mature and lifeless skin.
- Sunflower oil - Used for facial treatments and body massage. Has good softening and moisturizing properties.
- St. John Wort oil - Infusions from the Hypericum bush; it is excellent for all types of sensitive, red and sore skin.
- Coconut Oil - Perfect moisturizer for body and hands. Light, easily absorbable into the skin giving smooth satin effect. Moisturizes and conditions brittle, dull or dry hair.
