Acne Omega 3 Fish Oil

How much fish oil should you take a day for acne. Does it work>?
How much should you take a day? I hear you have to get some where between Omega 3 and Omega 6. Does it produce good results?
You need an Omega 6 to Omega 3 ratio of between 1:1 and 1:4. This will prevent prostate cancer and stroke in the future for men. These supplements alone will not substitute for actual topical acne treatments or oral antibiotics. They are meant to be supplements.
If you are interested, I have designed a supplement program that mimics that of the Perricone MD Skin Clear Supplement program ( as seen here :
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid=EJDABUPDCTMGICV0KRTRPIQ?id=P211621&_requestid=172674 ). You should really take it if you are willing to sacrifice some money. Making sure your body is healthy inside and out will give great skin. After all, you only have one skin in your life so its worth the investment. I take Carlson Super-Omega 3 (best omega 3 you can get) as well as Twinlab Calcium 500 (its a calcium, magnesium, and vitamin D supplement), Source Naturals Evening Primrose Oil (GLA supplement aka Omega 6), and Source Naturals Skin Eternal Plus which is the best multi-vitamin you can get out there if you want great skin. I already made sure to check the proportions of each vitamin to make sure that you remain safe such as making sure that the combined content of Vitamin A does not exceed 25,000 IU or making sure that the amount of zinc is not in excess as it can hinder the absorption of copper or making sure that the ratio of omega 6 to omega 3 is between a 1:1 and 1:4 ratio thus preventing the chances of stroke or prostate cancer (in men) when you are older. You can get these supplements at any health store but I strongly suggest you buy it online since it is much cheaper. I like vitacost.com.

Source Naturals Skin Eternalâ„¢ Plus - 120 Tablets

However, I recommend you get skin eternal plus at amazon if you want to save in the long-run though you dont have to.

Buy a quantity of 4 Skin Eternal Plus through the subscribe and save program. Set the delivery at every 6 months. This will bring down the price of Skin Eternal Plus. Enter the coupon code SRCE1999 (valid until the end of this month) to get an additional discount of $20. This will only work if you spend more than $69 which is why you had to buy 4 of the Skin Eternal Plus. When you get the shipment, cancel your subscription so you dont get charged on your credit card when the 6 months pass. You can cancel the subscription program any time.
However, once again, they are only supplements. I recommend seeing a dermatologist. I definitely recommend you also ask about antibiotics such as doxycycline. Some topical acne treatments include Retina-A Micro, Erythromycin and Benzoyl Peroxide Gel, Ziana, and Benzaclin.
If you cannot go to the dermatologist, buy an acne cleanser and an acne spot treatment. If you can only afford drugstore, I recommend Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask and Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10. If you can spare more money, look into the Murad system from Sephora.

I recommend the bigger size though:

Omega 3 Fish Oil - Purest Form
A Guide to the Benefits of Fish Oil Supplements
The benefits of fish oil supplements are probably the best known of all dietary supplements, containing omega3 and rightly so. Here I will outline the main ones and how to get the maximum health impact from them.
The most well known is its anti-inflammatory properties including protection against heart disease. The omega 3 fatty acids in the oil help to prevent the blood from clotting and also reduce the fats related to cholesterol, saving thousands of lives each year and one of the most important of all the benefits of fish oil supplements.
This is one of the biggest killers in our society today and part of the reason for that is many people don't realize they have it until it's too late. This is why the preventative measure of a daily capsule is so important, whether you eat fish regularly or not.
Other benefits are lower blood pressure and help with skin ailments like acne and psoriasis. Recent research shows us that the DHA in omega 3 fatty acid is more important than EPA and vital to keep our brain healthy and boosting our brain power!
It is estimated that 9 out of 10 people are not getting enough omega 3 and these days we are advised not to eat too much fish because of the toxins they contain, hence the warning to pregnant women to only have two portions a week.
So the benefits of fish oil supplements are nothing short of amazing, but finding the right one is crucial as many are very poor in quality and overpriced.
Any supplement you buy should be pharmaceutical grade and molecularly distilled to remove all of the contaminants like mercury, concentrating the oil and still leaving it in its natural form so the body can absorb it easily.
Look at the website or label to see the actual DHA and EPA quantities. If you can find it, avoid the product.
For example the one I take has 28% DHA and 12% EPA content, with half of the total oil amount being omega fatty acids. Purity is also key to get the most benefits of fish oil supplements and to avoid those fishy burps, and again this one is taken from Hoki and Tuna fish from the pristine waters of southern New Zealand.
Adding these to your daily routine could be one of the best and cost-effective health investments you could ever make, helping you to maintain optimal health for now and the future too.
