Is it ok to use sunscreen on my face while I am using acne prescription medicine?

I use Differin gel every night before going to bed, but will this interact with a sunscreen?

Yes, you are actually supposed to apply it everyday when using acne medication even if not in direct contact with the sun. If not, the sun can damage your skin and contract a reaction with the medication. It's also best to use an oil-free sunscreen, so you don't clog your pores.

Has anyone used Duac (prescription acne medicine)?

Isn't duac just benzoyl perozide? Which i can buy at walgreens for 8 dollars.... ?

Though it does seem to work alot better so maybe not...

it has benzoyl peroxide in it. i can't use it because it make my face burn, itch, dry, turn red... oh it's just miserable. but most dermatologist will tell you that benzoyl peroxide works the best if your skin can take it without an adverse reastion.
