How do I know if a dermo specializes in acne treatment?
I'm researching dermos and I find all kinds of specializations, not sure which ones pertain to acne treatment?
Your best bet would be to look at the types of treatment and then do a google search,
ex:"microdermabrasion doctor" - if you put quotes around the things that you want, then you should be able to get the best matches without much of a headache.

Acne treatment: Get quick results with minimum side effects
Most of us suffer from acne problems at one time or another. Acne problem is prevalent in adolescence due to hormonal changes. And it is also considered that three out of four teenagers experiences acne problem to some extent.
There are different factors that causes acne problem such as genes, changes in diet and hormonal fluctuations may also influence the propensity for acne to appear in an individual. The severity of acne varies from person to person. Some people suffer from severe acne problems and some from less severe. Some people manage well their acne problem and work around the things that seem to worsen or cause acne for them, and they do not need to seek outside acne treatment. But for others, who are not able to handle acne problem, seeking acne treatment can save a lot of emotional hardship and will help prevent scars.
There are different treatments available that may include drug therapy to treat acne. Depending upon the severity of acne, topical medications (medications applied directly to the skin) or systemic medications (medications taken orally) may be prescribed by a physician. In some cases, physicians may recommend a combination of both topical medications and systemic medications.
Furthermore, acne dermatology treatment usually involves getting the help of experienced dermatologist. As every person has not same acne conditions, thus acne problem should be treated carefully. Thus, by studying a particular person, an acne dermatology treatment plan will be devised to help them get through their acne outbreaks with fewer side effects and scars.
For many people, use of medications is quite helpful in treating acne problems but sometimes they can't get rid of scars completely. For them, an acne dermatology treatment plan will include restoration of skin. This could mean laser acne treatments or surgery. Laser acne treatments are generally noninvasive and quick solutions to the problem. Through a series of very short, outpatient, visits to the dermatologist, a laser is used to burn off the scarred layers of skin. Once that skin is gone, the new, clear skin underneath is free to come to the surface, restoring a clear complexion.
The other, more invasive, option is reconstructive surgery. If not all the scarring will go away, and a clear complexion is the priority, some people will hire a plastic surgeon to restore their skin to the way it used to be.
Whatever treatment you are using, but successful acne dermatology treatment is the one which starts dealing with acne and scars problem from day one. It doesn’t matter what option you choose in your acne dermatology treatment plan, the important thing is that treatment plan should act quickly on your outbreaks and be steady in your treatment with minimum side effects and quick result.
