Adult Acne Topical Cream

Can anyone help with my adult acne?

I have some acne when I was in high school. Used Proactive and it cleared up. I stopped using Proactive and it came back. Started using Proactive again and no results. Used some other over the counter cleansers and creams with no result. Went to the dermatologist and she put me on minocycline and clindamycin and differin (topical creams) and they didn't work so well. I was told it was hormonal and my only hope was birth control. I've been on Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo for a year and kept using the clindamycin and differin and they worked wonders. I want to get off the birth control but I'm afraid that the acne is going to be back. I really need help. My acne days were horrible and they've scarred me for life. Thanks

Natural Adult Acne Cure

You skin happens to be the largest organ in your body, and one of it's main purposes in life is to process the process of elimination of toxins from the body.

It also protects your body against temperature changes, and from harmful bacteria, viruses, and nasty chemicals.

The process of working in conjuntion with your skin and not against it, helps with the natural cure of acne and also to enhance the healing of the skin. By working positively to help heal your skin, it will end up looking and feeling a lot better and will also become more consistent in its tone.

To fight acne successfully from the inside out, you need to ensure that you aren't perpetuating certain lifestyle actions that will contribure to the weakening of your natural acne fighting capabilities. Consequently it's important that you give your skin, and your body the best possible ability to maximise its skin repairing ability: The following list of lifestyle choices need to be controlled during the time you are endeavouring to help control your acne;

* You should Quit Smoking. -  Everyone knows the adverse health effects of smoking, and this also goes for its overall effects of aging of your skin.

* Don't use Topical Steroids Over the counter cortisone based creams. - These can eventually thin your skin and worsen your acne condition. It can lead to skin irritation, redness and other side effects, and will generally only address the symptoms of acne (inflammation, itching, puss), not the root cause of the disease.

* Taking Antibiotics Antibiotic treatments can aggravate your acne in the long run. -  Antibiotics destroy all the bacteria in your system including the good helpful essential natural system bacteria that have many essential qualities that help promote clear skin.

* Don't Shave with Four-In-One Razor blades, or old blunt razor blades. -  The four-in-one razor blades, can accumulate bacteria, and when shaving, especially with older 'blunt' razors, you are likely to experience severe irritation that can lead to damaging your skin. It is preferable to use a single blade when having acne.

* Popping and squeezing pimples and blackheads. -  Don't ever touch, pick or squeeze your pimples, regardless of how temping and "safe" you think it may seem. Doing this will make your acne worse by either aggravating your existing inflammation and/or pushing the puss deeper and wider into the skin.

* Don't take excessive amounts of Vitamin A Vitamin A from natural sources (green leafy vegetables and beta carotene fruit and veggies) and in small quantities can significantly enhance the healing process of your skin but if you take it in excessive doses, it can seriously damage your liver and cause severe health problems and side effects.
