Bacterial Acne Treatment
can you use Salicylic acid and benzoyl peroixde together for acne?
i've been thinking about replacing my spot treament antibiotic clindamycin (the fear of is causing bacterial resistance) to benzoyl peroxide. My skin doesn't react badly with it since i was a user to proactiv but it was getting too expensive. i was wondering if it's safe to use it after i wash it with a salicylic acid wash then applying salicylic acid after i apply to benzoyl peroxide

night routine
neutrogena acne prone bar soap
tretinoin cream

Salicylic acid and benzoyl are two very active ingredients. It is like mixing soap and chlorine together. Yes it will erase the acne but will harm your skin terribly and will be very damaged and less defensive for sun damage, enviromental toxins or free radicals.
My advice: use the salicylic acid 0.5% Total Blemish treatement from Erno Laszlo morning and evening and protect your face with an oil free sun protection in the morning even in the winter season (anti oxydant moisture complexe SPF15)
Don't forget to lower your intake of the dairy products such milk cheese and ice cream. You may replace milk for a short term by the soy beverage for the calcim compensation. Less soft drinks and avoid smoking please.
