Blast Acne Medication

What do these symptoms mean?


I didn't have much luck when I asked before, so I'm trying again.

My friend (a 30 year old male) working in Baghdad has come down with the following symptoms 4 days ago: headache, dry cracked tongue (just tongue and not the entire mouth), pimples on his face (not any where else on his body and he doesn't normally have acne) fever (very hot and then very cold chills) and he has been very tired and sleeping more than 16 hours a day since this started.

His shoulder was injured about 3 weeks ago by a bomb blast and he has been taking medication for that, but I don't know what kind.

Well at first I started thinking he was dehydrated with the cracked dry tongue, and headaches. But the fever is a sure sign that something is going on his body. A fever means there is an infection. The body's immune system is trying to fight something off. So if the fever persists he should go see a doctor. It is hard to say exactly what he has because he is in a different country, and he is exposed to totally different things than where you are.

The chills is probably coming from the fever along with the feeling of being hot. The pimples could be just exposure to a different environment. I haven't ever really heard of pimples being a sign of a sickness or illness.

If this persists tell him to seek medical treatment.
