Body Acne Buttocks
Body Acne Buttocks
12 y/o girl with rash?

In the past couple of days my 12 year old daughter has developed a rash on her torso, hips, buttocks. At first it appeared to be acne or an ingrown hair follicle, as there was a small white pustule in the center of the first one. However, they have increased in number and most do not have the pustule. Yesterday she woke up with about a dozen, this morning she had about 30. They do not itch and are not painful. The largest one is about 1/4 inch in diameter, most are about 1/16th inch. She has no fever, aches, or pains, or any other indication of distress (other than the associated trauma of being a 12 year old with little red bumps on her body). She is pre-menstrual.

Any ideas?

Get her in to a Dr. It could be an allergic reaction, measles, shingles, or any number of afflictions. But for her comfort she needs to see a Dr.

How To Shrink Your Lower Body

Anyone know anything about dermatology?

I'm 26 years old, far past normal "acne" age... But I have acne all over my body. It's not like infected bumps... it's more like every pore on my body gets clogged and forms something like a blackhead. I get bumps really bad all over my breasts and chest, my lower abdomen, and my inner thighs. I also get them under my buttocks, all over my upper thighs, and in the folds of skin at all my joints- my neck, my elbows and even my knees. It's not like acne where it's unsightly and red, it's just like an oil clog beneath the skin, but they're EVERYWHERE. Occasionally, large infected bumps will form, but they're impossible to "burst." It's like whatever's causing the swelling is deep under the skin. My brother's skin is very similar to this, so I'm thinking whatever it is is genetic. Whatever it is, it's NOT normal body acne- it's extremely widespread and not just a bump here and a bump there. Does anyone have any clue what it is?

Please, please see a dermatologist! Why suffer when the answers are out there? Also, are you drinking plenty of water each day? You may also need to do a detox, but do check with a dermatologist first. You'll be glad you did!
