Chamomile Tea Acne

Best birth control pill for a teen?
I'm 17 years old and i want to start taking birth control. I haven't had sex yet and i want to wait until i have more than one form of contraception so i decided i'm going to find out about birth control.
i'm 17, 5'1 104 pounds, i have moderate acne and very painful periods that usually confine me to the house for a week with a hot pad, pamprin, bananas and peppermint and chamomile tea.
I heard birth control pills can make you gain weight but can help clear up your skin. Which birth control pill would be best for someone of my age, size, etc?
I was considering taking seasonique because it does the 4 periods a year thing.
Does anyone have any tips on what not to take? Any horror stories i should hear about before considering which one to take?
I know each body is different so i may not react the same way but if at all possible i'd like to keep weight gain and mood swings to a minimum.
I've been on birth control since I was almost 16, and I'm now almost 18. I went on loestrin24FE. I like it because it cleared my skin for the most part and didn't make me gain any extra weight (my boobs didn't get any bigger, either) but everyone's body reacts differently to different pills. I also liked loestrin24 because it gave me a 4 day period rather than other pills which give you a 7 day period. I was having sex (with a condom too, usually) and didn't have any scares with it, because I always knew exactly when my period would come, and it always came (I didnt like the idea of not having a period every month, because then I would think I was pregnant- so consider that before you do the seasonique). The only downside with any birth control is what they call breakthrough bleeding. It just means you get light bleeding at random times during the month for like 3 months or so until your body fully adjusts the the artificial hormones. It is a low dose birthcontrol, which is still completely effective but not reccommended if you are over 150lbs (which you are not). But like I said its different for everyone. But definantly talk to a primary care doctor/gyne because they will be able to give you the best info! Hope this helps girl.
