Cleanser Concentrate
What is my skin type?! and what kind of toner should i use?
Im going on 16. i have basically quite rough skin with quite many blackheads on my nose and recently *gasp* on my cheeks. I thought my skin used to be dry but now its abit oily when i touch it (more oily on nose) and especially oily when i put on moisturizes and night cream. so is it good or bad now? Also, i only used to have pimples on my T-zone but now its more concentrated on my cheeks. help. is there something wrong with the products i use or is it just puberty? Does your skin type actually changes?
Everyday, i only use an exfoliator, cleanser and apply moisturiser straight away. will my acne problems be solved after i use a toner?
Im quite sceptical about toners as my friend says some can worsen your face? Is is better will no alcohol and how do you see if you have large pores. Thankyou!
You have combination skin which requires a special cleanser you can buy one at the chemist ask there advise you want go wrong, remember you will grow out of teenage years soon enough and your skin will thank-you for taking extra care, wash off any makeup your wear before you go to bed at night and all ways (do not) repeat (do not squeeze them blackhead's) or you will end up with scares enjoy your teens your only young once

Does anyone Agree with this?
I use to have a bad case of acne and it's almost completely fixed now due to 2 very concentrated creams and pills. but I noticed that If I would have just used some basic skin products like cleansers and stuff daily i could have avoided the whole problem.
Now the reason i never used these things were because, like most guys, I had to think these things were unmanly, maybe it was just the whole big ego thing. But I also think that the fact the media points almost all skin care advertisements towards women and teen girls us guys feel less compelled to buy it. So what i am asking is
1.Do you think using these products is "unmanly"?
2.Why doesn't the media target both guys and girls, when it could make them more money?
I used to have severe acne and now if I eat right etc. etc. I'm almost totally clear.
I found all those acne cleansers amongst a good ten other products I tried were useless. Except for a normal white bar of soap and benzoyl peroxide.
Of course, the most important thing for me was eating/drinking extremely healthy. No face touching, no desserts, only healthy meals, lots of tea and fish. Also, twice a day I use soap to wash my hands, then my face, then dry it, and put benzoyl peroxide on.
I don't think the cleansers and stuff are gay or unmanly. However, I think a lot of people think I'm some vegetarian hippi because I eat extremely healthy and make most of my own meals. But hey, I also feel a lot better and I'm going to age really slowly.
I think they target girls with cleansers because MOST people use them to make their skin smoother and look better, not for acne. Of course, culture dictates that women are much more interested in having good skin so the commercials go towards them. It's easier for them to go along with the cultural stereotypes and they'll more likely get more sales.
