Why isn't my acne cleaning up?


I've had a mild/medium acne for around 4 years now and have tried so many products that say they will clear your skin... but they never really work. At the moment, I'm using the Neutrogena Wave, Clearasil deep cleaning toner & an anti-spots, anti-shine, oil-free moisturiser. I also use a prescribed benzyl peroxide cream when big pimples appear. Even so, I've still got blackheads and get a few odd pimples.

It's frustrating, because most of my friends are almost completely acne-free and only use the odd make-up wipe, meanwhile I spend around 15 minutes every morning just cleaning my face.

Am I doing anything wrong? Is there anything more I should do?

Wash your face only 2-3 times a day
dont over do it, it'll make it worse. I went to the dermatologist for my acne as well, and mine is also mild/medium, they gave me a face wash called caliderma which i have fallen in love with, ive tried everything from nuetrogena, to clinque. and also, my dermatologist prescribed my an antibiotic which is supposed to get rid of all of my acne, it has worked.. but has not gotten rid of it. For this type of acne, u cant over do it, it'll dry ur face out which makes ur face produce EVEN more oil than its suppose to. Keep a balance, and it should stay clear. Use a black head removing mask as needed, maybe once every 1-2 weeks.
