Clearasil Ultra Acne scrub
If i use Clearasil ultra deep pore treatment scrub every night will i get spots because of to much scrubbing??
i dont have acne or anything but sometimes have spots pop up but i use this so i dont get any spots but will scrubbing every night cause more spots, it says on the packet to use every day and night but will it increase me getting spots?
No it wont. You need a product like this, to clear the grease away that causes spots, though using a soap, works, as it cuts grease, if not washed off thoroughly, some of the "cake" (the Body of the soap, that holds it together) will block your pores...and cause spots. Any cheap clearasil will do, wilko etc, as its just an alcahol based cleanser.
The only ill effect, it may dry your skin, and to this effect, no doubt, more expensive products have a conditioner/moisteriser, but thats a grease!
Spots can readily be caused by stess, feeling low, a few night on the booze, a few days of greasy food excess, chocolate over exmas, etc. One of the main ones, is mental! just stress and your overall moral, being run down.
Actual scrubbing, with water, maybee a very mild soap, well rinsed and re scrubbed with water after, will be of no harm other than red skin, but the full on approach, worked for me, and think more, of regularity.., scrubbing itself, and not the product.

Facial Cleansers Review

I used to use clearasil when I was young. It didn't do any good. There are several things that work and I'm not sure how old you are—but age is one thing. Older you get the less your hormones act up. Your hormones are the main reason young people have acne. As for adults, it's normally a medical condition.
I do get acne from time to time. I'll list a few products that I love to use.
*Forehead*: Before bed, wear a head band. It's girly, you'll get over it when you see your skin clear up. Wash your hair regularly. Your hair is could be too oily—I say wash your hair every two days or when you take a shower at night. Try to get a hair style without bangs. Your forehead will thank you for it. Don't touch the area or lessen how much you touch it. You might be touching it too much b/c you're self-conscious of your zits–you might not realize you're doing it, so try to catch yourself. Wash your hands regularly—oil and dirt could be on your hands when you touch there. I mean wash and invest in some purell to always keep your hands clean. The head band is the first thing and most important.
My methodology aside from recommendations above:
1. Wash your face twice a day. Use a strong product & a light one. For instance, before bed I use a strong product, something with Salycic acid/Benzoyle Peroxide (or my papaya soap—for the fruit acid in—helps to lighten blemishes). This tends to dry out the skin—I don't add a moisturizer—I just let my natural oils work. I use a harsher product because I've been sweating/pollution/dirt/grime has gotten on my face the whole day. In the morning I use a lighter product—there might be miild sweating but no pollution/dirt/grime from the night of sleep. Either something like Purpose or Cetaphil or Noxzema or Sandalwood, etc (I have combination skin).
2. Drink a lot of water—I mean try to drink at least a quart a day. I drink 1-2 quarts of water a day.
3. Sleep well. You won't even believe how important it is for your skin. Get as much as you can, 5 hours at the least.
5. Change your pillow case regularly. Like once a week.
6. If you see a zit—just use something like toothpaste. <–It works. Don't pop it, just add a bit of toothpaste, it might itch or sting at first, but by the time the tooth paste dries the inflammation. If after it dries and you still feel irritated add more.
7. Don't use HOT water on your face EVER. Only use one type of consistent temperature. Either use tepid or cool water. Don't change temperatures on your skin—you'll increase the aging process.
8. A toner is optional. If you use one, make sure it's Witch Hazel or Hydrogen Peroxide.
—————————————————————————————
1. Tea Tree Oil by the Body Shop: Most wouldn't believe it I think. I learned about this product about 6 years go. I had run out of facial soap at my dorm and a friend was using it and let me borrow her facial wash. Keep in mind, I only used the facial wash—-and after 1 week my skin cleared up completely it's pretty shocking how fast.
You could use the whole line, it's great stuff. This product is truly phenomenal. I don't think you'll need anything else besides this to be honest.
2. Papaya soap (not found over the counter)—
It's my fave soap. Keeps my skin clear and removes a lot of the sun damage I have. It's extremely harsh and a bit aggressive/drying. As effective as the Tea tree oil, just not as accessible.
3. Neutrogena (normal or grapefruit scrub): Either one works really well. I've been using it because my sister is using it and she keeps complimenting me on my skin this summer. She asked me what I was using and I said I was using her Neutrogena–let's just say she was less than pleased since she hasn't benefited from it. (I definitely believe you need to revolve between 2 facial soaps at least—but one with salycic acid or qualities like it (tea tree oil/papaya soap) and one without).
Less Harsh product list (all favorites):
1. Sandalwood soap (not found over the counter): I love my sandalwood soap. You can find yourself to an indian shop or one online that's fantastic for great skin.
2. African black soap (not found over the counter): <—-This product is breathtaking. Your skin clears up and evens out and can be used all over your body. However you need the REAL black soap. There is a soap that calls it self African Black Soap and is tar black <—-That's a fake one. The real Black soap is brown and easy to mold like a dry version of play-do:
<—Pre-molded and this is the color.
