Cystic Acne Tea Tree
Does tea tree oil work?
I am thinking about trying The Body Shop's tree tree oil face wash and either the mask or blemish stick. Has anyone tried it? Did it work for acne and blackheads? I have moderate acne with some cystic acne and a few blackheads now and then. Should I try it?
The burt's bees blemish stick did nothing for me.
Well for like a week and half I've been trying this and it seems to work, I'm no chemist but here it is. I use this as a spray toner/ acne treatment. I hate using tea tree just by itself because I hate the way oil feels on my face so I put equal parts rose water, witch hazel, tea tree oil, a little less hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, and mixed all that up it's been working wonders for me. but that's just me.

How I Got Rid Of My Acne
Get Rid Of Cystic Acne – Home Remedies For Cystic Acne
Cystic acne or nodulocystic acne is a severe form of acne vulgaris (common acne). Cystic acne is not caused by drinking excessive sodas, eating sweets or lack of cleansing. Those suffering from this form of acne have done nothing to acquire it.
Many people use the term ‘cystic’ to describe any and all types of severely inflamed acne, but only those who develop cysts will undoubtedly have cystic acne. These cysts sit just below the skin’s surface and are soft, fluid filled lumps that are extremely painful and one reason why so many want to get rid of cystic acne.
Cystic acne can affect anyone but seems to be found mostly in teenage boys and young men. Those whose parents had cystic acne as a young teenager will find that they will more likely have a similar experience. It can be hereditary.
Three reasons why you may find yourself experiencing cystic acne could be because you have:-
a) overactive oil glands
b) a large number of dead skin cells within the hair follicle or pore, and
c) your skin has a large surface of acne-causing bacteria, such as Propionibacteria acne, or p.acne
Because cystic acne can end up destroying healthy skin tissues, the likelihood of developing scars can be extremely high. If you are tempted to pick or pop any cysts or nodules, please refrain at all costs as this will certainly lead to scarring, and worsen the acne.
Those suffering from severe acne may have feelings of embarrassment, anger, shame and frustration regarding their skin. Having acne can have a huge impact on one’s self-esteem and can ultimately lead to depression. If you find that you are becoming distressed, then talk to your doctor.
Another way to help with the symptoms that acne creates is by using some form of acne home remedy. These are great as they are mostly natural products, just make sure you aren’t allergic to any type of fruit, vegetable or herb before applying to your skin.
