Dermalogica Bedtime
clean start dermalogica breaking me out ?
soo i got the clean start dermalogica kit during xmas break and ive been using it for a month now and at first it worked great then a week or two later underneath my chin started to itchh sooo much and burned and i didnt know why and i didnt think it would be the kit and now it doesnt itch as much but still just a bit, now i realize i am still randomly breaking and idk if its the kit and ive just tried ponds moizturizer and maybe that could be it, since its too think, as well as i do wear face makeup to cover it up but ive been using that for years and it doesnt break me out, also i have very dry and very sensitive skin and i have a lot of mini breakouts and scars. so i was wondering if it was the clean start kit ? and i only use the wash off cleanser that has 5% salislyic acid and i use the toner and the bedtime for breakouts.
I actually happen to be a user of the CleanStart kit and I like it because it works for me. It could be that it's just not the right thing for you. I know that my acne reacts better to salicylic acid rather than benzoyl peroxide, but that's just me. My sister and mom are the opposite, so it really just depends. My mom's person that gives her facials gave her some stuff with salicylic acid in it and it broke her out too. Then she switched back to benzoyl peroxide right away and it all cleared up. So no, I don't think the CleanStart is a bad kit at all, it's just that maybe salicylic acid isn't right for you.
Hope I helped!
Basic Skin Care Tips For Summer
During summer if you spend more time outdoors, it can lead to lot of problems from bug bites to sunburn. To overcome these problems just follow certain summer skin care tips. If you are out for shopping in the hot sun then bugs may irritate you a lot. Bugs are often attracted to products like suntan lotion, perfume, hairspray and deodorant. To overcome this problem, try avoiding these products or take a dose of Vitamin B. When it is excreted through perspiration, it gives off an odor that many bugs find offensive. If a bug still tries to bit you, use a poultice of meat tenderizer to relieve the itch. During summer, lips get cracked, peeled off and don’t improve even with the help of lip balm. Use a lip protector with a protection factor of SPF 15 and apply it regularly. Do not apply lip glosses or petroleum jelly. People with dry skin must drink plenty of water, leafy vegetables and fruits which will help to moisturize your skin.
Ultra violet radiation (UVA) is very strong in early morning and afternoon. UVA can cause tanning and wrinkles. UVB rays can cause sunburn. Both UVA and UVB rays can cause suppression of the immune system. Our immune system helps protect against the development and spread of cancer. Apply Sunscreen lotion which blocks both UVA and UVB to all exposed skins.
Your body weight is 50 to 55% water. Drink six to eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day to keep well hydrated. 80% of the damage to the skin is done by the time you are 18 years old. Avoid going out between 10.00 a.m. and 4 p.m. and apply sunscreen lotion to children older than 6 months. Do apply sunscreen lotion after swimming or sports. Wear clothes that fully cover your body which can minimize sun exposure. While pale skin is the most likely to burn, darker skin can burn also if they stay in the sun too long. Use protection no matter what skin tone you have.
Do clean your face at regular intervals in a day with water. Pat dry your face instead of rubbing it with towel. Avoid caffeine and hard drinks. Drink lots of water. Take small but frequent meals and avoid protein rich diet. Use less Make up during summer and remove it at bedtime. Avoid the drying effects of soap by using a body wash and add bath or shower oil to your bath.
