please help:( such bad acne?
i'm on some pill, but it isn't working
i've tried..
-proactive
-acne free
-clean&clear(like 3 different one's)
-st. ives
-nutregena stress control
-clearacil ultru
-skin id
-tri clear
-a couple avon things
-hanson
-cetaphil
-dermalogica
there's more, but i forgot some
any ideas?
i'm so desperate:(
i'm deathly alergic to metacycline(spelled that wrong haha)
I am 38 years old and have had acne for 15 years. I never had it even as a teenager, but got it in my adult life. I tried everything known to man and nothing worked! I was put on a drug called Roaccutane by a dermatologist and that worked but a few years later it was back!!!Much to my horror. I got FULL blood tests done which determined I was estrogen-dominant(had too much of a hormone called estrogen) in my system. I was put on a natural pill called DIM or Diindolyl methane as it is known. 3 months later=perfect skin, no acne whatsoever. So my advice would be to get your hormone levels checked, I wish someone had of told me this a long, long time ago. I really hope this has helped as I know what it is like.

good acne routine for a 20 year old?
i started using clean start by dermalogica and while it works well, it's kind of expensive and it doesn't really work well enough to justify the price. i really need a good cleanser or just a good routine in general. my skin is starting to look bad again and i don't know what to do. i have a lot of whiteheads and stress breakouts.
proactiv, acnefree, etc didn't work. my acne isn't severe just a few problem spots on my cheeks, chin and forehead. mainly the cheeks though.
Even, if your skin seems to demand strong acne cleansers, I think a mild cleanser would work !
I've tried proactive and even benzaclyn ! And, those things just made my skin worst !
So, I got tired of it, and decided to use foamy soap ( SoftSoap handwash brand ) And / or foamy acne washes ( Neutrogena Morning burst ) .
I tried it consistently for 4 months.
And, my entire face looks clear ....as if I barely get pimples !
I swear !
After all that trouble I went through with those strong chemicals, I found out that a mild foamy soap and water works ten million times better than all the strong expensive acne products in the world !
