what can i use to get rid of acne scar?
i have some scars from acne and i want to get rid of them before it goes permanant...ive been using vaseline to make it better but i think its making my skin really dry/flaky and my skin is peeling
I used proactiv's nighttime clarifying lotion/ cream and that helped make my scarring look much better. The main thing I think is that you need for a true scar is retinol I read its supposed to help rebuild collagen *over time*that is lost resulting in the acne scar. I now use black soap and aloe vera afterward, its not gone but its much better to the point its looks nearly nonexistent. If you have a scar that really just goes away its probably not a scar. Could be hyperpigmentation, redness or just an irritation left in the skin. If your skin still has a smooth texture to it with no active acne then you should be fine. Salicylic acid then can help to even you out quicker*its can be a little drying and irritation though* or just time because your skin will naturally exfoliate on its own.:-)
