Erythromycin Acne Gel
Erythromycin Acne Gel
erythromycin-benzoyl peroxide topical gel?
How Long Before I can expect results in my acne?
Does it work as a toner, or should i use one too?
Can i put makeup over it?
Should i rinse it?
well you probably wont see results for a while just b/c when you get a new acne treatment it flushes all of the bacteria and toxins out of your skin. so your skin might get worse before it gets better. i think you should get a toner thats just for toning b/c it really helps improve skin quality. i wouldnt recommend putting makeup over it b/c the make-up will cancel out the eryth. and i wouldnt recommending rinsing but its really up to you. you just gotta find whats good for your skin b/c everyones diff :]
hope i helped you out girl!

Pregnancy Acne
Pregnancy Acne Discussed
Pregnancy acne? Sounds unusual right? Well, many pregnant women are bothered by these sudden acne breakouts, even if their skin has been relatively clear for many years. Some women find they are developing acne for the first time when they become pregnant. While annoying, several changes in the skin are most common during pregnancy.
Most cases of pregnancy acne are triggered by the hormonal fluctuations that occur within the body. Many women report their acne becomes worst during the second trimester while gradually improves after that. For women who usually have clear skin, acne usually disappears sometime after the delivery. However it might last longer if the mother is breastfeeding.
Treating Pregnancy Acne
A good basic skin care will help keep the pregnant skin safe and healthy. Cleanse the face morning and night with a gentle facial wash like Dove or Neutrogena. Avoid toners or astringents for they can be irritating. The skin is usually more sensitive during pregnancy, so skin care products to use must be mild. And always follow up with light moisturizing cream, preferably those that are fragrance free.
If you notice that your acne is worsening, or you have been consistently fighting acne just even before your pregnancy, you might need some acne treatment medication. However, bear in mind the sensitivity of your condition. For the health of your baby, you must be cautious in selecting in every product you will use. While some acne treatments are safe, certain medications must not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding mothers without consulting the doctor first.
Although the treatments like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid and erythromycin are considered safe to use during pregnancy, it is still best to talk to your doctor before using any of these acne medications, including over-the-counter acne gels and creams.
As many acne treatment medications can be harmful to a developing fetus it must be avoided during pregnancy. Pregnancy acne is easy to treat just let your dermatologist know that you are pregnant to give the right and safe prescription.
