Facial scrubs
Does any one know any home-made facial scrubs, washes, or masks ?
I would like to clean my face up before school starts again and I don't really want to go out and buy an expensive face wash i would like to use stuff I can use and find in a home to clean up my skin and make it look nice . Any suggestions ?
Hmmmmm....
Aspirin mask- Take 3-4 uncoated aspirin (or coated take the plastic off) and crush it up with the back of a spoon. Add a couple drops of water and apply to your face, exfoliating gently in a circular motion. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Then wash off, also exfoliating. This should leave your skin soft and revived.
Baking soda mask- The same steps are to be followed when exfoliating and the time limit, as for the aspirin mask,using a good amount of baking soda. Has the same results of soft, vibrant skin. Add equal parts baking soda and water for normal skin, more water for sensitive and dry skin, and a tad more baking soda for oily skin to pick up more dirt and oil, obviously.
Honey sugar scrub- Add equal parts of brown sugar and honey and scrub face gently for 1 minute. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with warm water.
Oatmeal mask- Equal parts honey and oatmeal. Stir. Create a paste consistency. Spread on face. Wash off after 10-15 minutes. Results? Soft, glowing skin.
Tips.
After you finish a mask, apply a good moisturizer, as some of these masks are drying to the skin. (aspirin, baking soda ect...) any scrub is because its taking the first layer of dead skin and getting rid of it. It exposes a fresh layer, making the skin more prone to sun damage so also wear sunscreen and protective clothing when leaving the house. Or if you want a hydrating toner use cucumber juice. (: its VERY hydrating for the skin believe it or not even though it has little nutritional value. Use cucumber juice or make a paste, or even cut up some slices to put on your skin. Leave on for 10 minutes-ish and wash off with warm water. (:
