hello all, I want to combine 2 formula's in one cell (the second using the result of the first)?


Formula1 :=IF(E8<=$E$5,(G8-1),G8)....Returns a number in H8
Formula2 :=IF(H8=(D8-3),5,IF(H8=(D8-2),4,IF(H8=
(D8-1),3,IF(H8=D8,2,IF(H8=(D8+1),1,0))))) (should be 3 more brackets at the end)
At the moment i have formula one in H8 and formula two in J8....
What i want to achieve is to combine both formula's in H8 the
second part using the result of the first part.
Hope I've made it clear...at the moment both formula's work ok

your formula got cutoff.

in excel 2003 you are limited to 7 nested if() statements per cell.
you already know the workaround, and have it working....just use a cell reference to another cell with the rest of the if statements.

go ahead and email me your full formula, there might be an better way.
