does the fraxel laser work well?
i heard that lasers to smooth skin is a bunch of bull. i heard this from a doctor. he said the boom of lasers made a lot of doctors go and buy these expensive machines and now they push people into getting the procedures but they are not better than dermabrasion. i am asking this in reference to some acne scars.
While I have never seen this particular type of laser done, yes, it can be used for acne scars. Please note though that only a dermatologist can tell you if it will work for you after he does an assessment of your skin. Many people have wondeful results from laser treaments.

Have You Considered Fraxel Laser To Treat Acne Scars?
Consider that the skin of the face is just like your bed at home. The top layer of the skin is like the doona, the middle layer's the mattress and the lower layer is like the bed base. As we tend to get older, one or even all 3 of these layers become prone to the aging process and start to look worn and dreary.
As we age the top layer of our skin becomes more bulky and the skin loses its elasticity. As we age the collagen in our skin which is likened to the springs in a mattress gradually unwinds and our skin loses that natural elasticity that it once had before the aging process began.
The Fraxel laser treatment reverses this process in collagen returning it to its previous natural resilience and elasticity. Not only does it just reverse the effects of the collagen it also stimulates the natural growth of more collagen meaning that even after months of the surgery taking place, new collagen continues to grow and your skin continues to gradually become better than it once was.
Until Fraxel, doctors used traditional lasers to cure facial scars and acne scars which potentially lead the patient to a long healing time and increased risk of complications. Unlike other known lasers such as ablative lasers, the Fraxel is unique. The Fraxel laser is Non-Ablative laser and therefore has few side-effects and has almost no healing time. Involving a series of five treatments over 5 months to achieve results, the Fraxel laser combines the impact of Ablative lasers with the gentleness of Non-Ablative lasers.
Pigmentation of the face has never been treated so effectively until now. The Fraxel Dual with its double wavelength laser system seeks our pigment cells and gently removes them leaving a clearer skin than ever before. Fraxel Dual…the most effective technology yet to combat the signs of aging. If you would like to know more about Fraxel laser treatment do not hesitate in contacting your cosmetic doctor to discuss the possibilities which could lead to a better life for you.
