Gentle Cleansing Foam
Could my skin be purging due to the use of jojoba oil?
For about seven days now I've been using jojoba oil on my skin...I've used it on my hair for the longest time, and now, this is what I do...
Morning and night, I massage about a quarter sized amount of just jojoba oil on my dry face for a few minutes. This is equivalent to the oil cleansing method for me. I then hop in the shower, where I follow up with my gentle foaming cleanser. Out of the shower, I rinse with cool water, use a toner, then only at night, apply 4 drops of jojoba oil to my slightly damp (from the toner) skin. My skin doesn't look horrible or anything, but it is breaking out in places that I don't normally. Is this normal? Could my skin be purging before it gets better? Any thoughts would be excellent.
How long have you been using jojoba oil? take in mind, acne takes about 2 weeks to form/develop. so if it's been less than 2 weeks, your skin is probably breaking out from something else. it could be purging though. i always wait at least 3 weeks when i start a new regiment. that the minimum amount of time you need if you want to see results.
i'm not jojoba oil expert but i do know it is alot like human sebum so our skin excepts it very well.
i would pay a visit to this forum and search for answers or ask them about any acne/skin care questions you have. you'll get alot better answers than on Y!A
