I just had to answer this because a while back I read online that all you really need is peroxide to cure acne...not true.

I used it in the morning before I went out, and again at night to clean off the day. I did that for like 3 months but it didn't work at all! Not only did it itch and even burn sometimes, it also turn my skin pale. And I have brown skin, so it really looked bad...

Dermatologists are way too expensive, and so are the products like Proactive and other stuff you have to buy over and over again...forever.

I found this one home remedy that I think makes the most sense for curing acne and it worked in like a couple of days - no joke. Try it out for yourself, it's worth it. Here's the link:

Is there a difference between benzoyl peroxide and hydrogen peroxide?


I wanted to know since benzyol peroxide is supposed to cure acne, will hydrogen peroxide? Like what's the main difference in thier purposes?

I guess basically will they work the same on acne or will one work better?

Benzoyl peroxide is not the same thing as hydrogen peroxide. I have never heard of hydrogen peroxide being used for acne. It's mainly used to clean out cuts or wounds. I would definitely stick with benzoyl peroxide for acne. If this does not seem to be working for you, you could also consider a product with salicylic acid.
