My skin has been very sensitive lately. I use loreal infallible foundation, cover girl concealer, rimmel pressed powder and cover girl bronzer every day, but I try to use light coats of everything so I don't cake everything on. I use Mary Kay gentle cleansing cream to remove my eye and facial makeup every night, and I use a regular wash cloth to remove it all.
My skin (especially around/on my nose and around my eyes) has been dry and scaly and feels chafed (like how your nose feels after you've been blowing it so much during a cold) and it's sore. i use moisturizer every day under my makeup, and when I had this dry skin prob. before, I was given a prescribed cream for the dryness by my doctor. But it doesn't help with the pain. What can I do to reduce the pain of the dry skin?
There are several different things going on here first you are mixing several brands and I know people believe it is a sales pitch but honestly when you mix like that you could be causing the problem so I agree with holding back to give you skin a chance to heal. You could be mixing things that should not be mixed together and causing the problem. I use Mary Kay lip balm under y nose when it gets sore like that I think it is the Vitamin A & E that heals it so that might be something that will help. I would also recomend Mary aky eye make up remove the cleanser was not designed to use on the eyes so try the oil free eye make up remove it gently removes eye make up it is the only think I can use on my eyes that doesn't casue irritation.
Dany Madden-- Evening Makeup Removal and Skincare Routine
How well do you think this routine is for getting rid of acne?
-Morning-
1. Take a Tetracycline pill in the morning
2. wet a wash cloth, with warm water, splash on face
3. scrub "Mary Kay Time-Wise 3 in 1 Cleansing Bar" onto the washcloth and rub around on face
4. wash it off
5. wait for skin to dry, apply "Retisol-A" onto acne
--After School--
6. wash off face, using Spectro-Derm Moisturizing Skin Cleanser
7. apply Benzaclyn onto acne spots
--Night--
8. use "Mary Kay Cleansing Bar" again
9. apple benzaclyn to acne
10. take another Tetracycline pill
How well do you think this routine is?
and how long will it take for my acne to go away?
Thanks:)
Your skin has a 3 week renewal cycle the bottom layer moves to the top you can expedite this with microdermabration however you mush continue a good skin care routine depending on your skins needs. I do not see you using an oil free moisturizer so you are actually causing your skin to over produce oil. The skin needs hydration so if you do not hydrate it with an oil free moisturizer or even oil control if you have oily skin then it will continue to product or over product oil to compensate.
