Do acne laser treatments hurt?
If it does, please rate the pain from 1-10 please....thanks! ^_^
Like, the Smoothbeam Laser? Does that hurt?
There are a few options:
IPL (laser) w/Levulan or Smoothbeam Laser can be very uncomfortable. The discomfort level all depends upon your pain threshold and the level of strength they decide to use w/the laser. All in all, it's very bearable though...maybe a 5-6 on the scale.
Phytodynamic Therapy is the more popular option for acne. It utilizes the Blue Light w/Levulan treatment. The Blue Light technically isn't a laser but it can be very effective on acne! The Levulan in activated by the Blue Light and it actually kills the bacteria and shrinks the sebacius glands. Also, the procedure doesn't take long at all and the discomfort level is much lower, probably 3 or 4.
Either way, you'll be very happy w/the results.

Has anyone gotten laser acne scar treatments?
I have very minimal scars now but want to just get rid of them fast....does the laser work??? did it also get ird of redness??? what is it that like happens??? anything will help....oh....and how much was it????
You mentioned that you scars are minimal. Having laser treatments
will be costly(a couple hundred, if not more).
May I suggest you buy pure Vitamin E oil? If the scars are not very old,it will put the moisture back in you skin and eventually disappear in a few weeks.
My son had two scars from acne treatments on his face. Vitamin E got rid of them,but you must apply it several times a day. Thus speeding the process.
