Does a tat on top of foot near ankle wear off easily?
I practice yoga and would like a lotus flower on my foot closer to the ankle. I understand the pain levels cuz I have 2 other tats but am concerned about it wearing off and having to be redone. I'm usually barefoot or in flipflops and occasionally tennis shoes. If there's nothing rubbing the skin I figure it will last longer.
I have a star on my foot close to my ankle & its been there for almost 3 yrs. I tan, go out in the sun & do all sorts of stuff & it hasnt worn or faded yet! But alot of it fading might depend on what color you get. Mine is just plan black. I hope this helps! Good Luck

How To Stop Acne – What Dermatologists Don't Want You To Know!
If you suffer from acne you know how frustrating and expensive it can be to find a cure. The aisles of the pharmacy, commercials on television, ads in magazines… they all seem to lure you with the promise with a "fast and effective" end to your acne. On top of this, more than 8 million Americans a year spend money at the dermatologist office seeking an end to their suffering. There is no doubt about it, acne is big business.
What the manufacturers of creams and skin care products don't want you to know is that they cannot permanently cure acne. A permanent cure from acne needs to come from the inside, not the outside.
Now, there is certainly a place for acne creams, skin care products and trips to the dermatologist. Only a doctor can determine if there is a simple allergy that is causing your pimples. If there is, that's actually good news because as soon as you stop eating what you are allergic to you will see a great improvement. Also, in cases of extreme acne a dermatologist can prescribe solutions that can definitely reduce the symptoms of acne. And for those of you who have experienced physical and emotional scarring from acne, this can be a life saver.
However, most find when you stop using the products or prescriptions, all of the acne symptoms return. That is because the causes of acne are biological, not external.
Acne is caused by the over production of sebum in the sebaceous glands, and the narrowing of the hair follicles through which the sebum normally exits to moisturize the skin and hair. When oil gets trapped an inflammation under the skin can occur, or the "plug" at the exit of the pore that is blocked turns dark when it oxidizes and you have a blackhead.
So what causes these conditions? The production of sebum is more or less regulated by hormones. That's why many first suffer from acne in their teens as their hormones rapidly fluctuate. Several factors are thought to contribute to the narrowing of the follicles. These include nutrition, lifestyle and stress. No cream can fix those! Proper cleansing is also an important component in controlling the symptoms of acne, but it is not the cause of the problem per se.
So if you are committed to permanently eliminating the root cause of your acne it is going to take time and commitment. By all means, use acne care products to manage the symptoms in the meantime. But don't kid yourself that a jar of cream will be a permanent fix.
