My dog is getting pink patches on his body.What is it?
he is a 11mnth old golden retriever.he has been getting these patches just above his paws,above his eyes,on his spine,near his backside.i shown him to the vet and he prescribed some medicated bath for him but it didnt work.He also got some vaccination shots.the vet says its a skin infection.He has also recently got fleas from my neighbours dog.I have been trying to remove them and most of them are gone.I think it may be Eczema.Please tell me what it is and help me get rid of it.He cannot die of it ,can he?

You might be bathing too often, he should only get a bath if he stinks, and it does sound like a skin infection, listen to what the vet told you. If he's allergic or sensitive to fleas, that may be what started all this. Has he had any oral medication? Have you called the vet and TOLD them the shampoo didn't work? Is your dog on Frontline for the fleas, and was the Frontline put on at least 48 hours before or after bathing? If you answered NO to any of these questions, you need to pick up the phone and call the vet back.
