How much will laser resurfacing or microdermabrasion cost to get rid of acne marks on shoulder / upper back?
Hi
I have these marks on my shoulder / upper back for approx. 6-8 yrs! I am so fed up with it I think it's time to get it removed. Can someone please tell me if laser resurfacing or microdermabrasion will help with this and also the price to have this done? Which is best? Also how many treatments do i have to take to have this done? I live in the Caribbean but i'm travelling to Florida to have this done next mth. Please recommend which is best or if you know anything that works even better.
Thanks and May God Bless
The cost depends on what the Doctor charges. I know that if you go to a spa to have microdermabrasion performed, it cost less than going into a Doctor's office, BUT the crystals used in a Doctor's office is much better and effective than the crystals used in a Spa setting. Furthermore, you may need more than one microderm procedure done before you will see results. I do know much about laser resurfacing - I know that it cost way more than the microderm procedure. Do your research and do not be in a rush to get the procedure done. This is your body and skin, you don't want to make the appearance of it look any worse than you claim it does right now.

microdermabrasion acne scars - great video!
How to fade acne scars/post acne mars?
This January, I had a pretty severe bout of acne on my cheeks and jaw area. The post acne marks and scars are still here despite all the recommendations people have told me. I tried aloe vera, bio oil, honey, aspirin but they only faded a little bit. They're a faint pink color now. My left cheek mostly has post acne marks and my right cheeks have 2 acne scars that are pretty deep. What should I do? I have no money to go to a derm and get microdermabrasion.
Try pure oils. Vitamin E oil comes in small bottles (usually stocked with the vitamins.) I've heard good things about it and use it myself. It takes a little while (at least 1-2 months of semi frequent use) to notice a fairly smoother look to the skin. I use it on my face as often as possible, usually at night and then leave on overnight.
Or maybe it will work faster on you; everyone's skin is different.
Or try taking Vitamin E tablets or other vitamins to help boost the immune system (Zinc is great too.)
Another great thing that reduces scars are chemical peels. There is a reputable site online where you can buy your own chemical peel kit, so you don't have to go to a dermatologist and spend $500 for them to do it (makeupartistschoice.com and click on "chemical peels") Read up on all of them.
I've ordered a peel from them before and it's just as good as what dermatologists offer, just make sure you read and follow the instructions (not that hard.)
