Health and Beauty?
Is MicroDermabrasion for only aging skin?
If not is it gentle enough to done everyday?
What exactly is it? I mean is it all about exfoliation and not much else?
Would it be advisable fro a 17 year old to use MicroDermabrasion kits and all?
If not what would you recommend for everyday exfoliation that is effective
What does salt do for the skin?
Is it good for the face?
Most bath scrubs contain salt
Anyone know a good bath scrub that works?
Anyone know if Slendertone (the abs thingy device) really does work?
Is it possible to just use Vitamin E oil as an everyday (or night) moisturizer?
Hi there,
This is what I know (I have been undergoing microderma for a few years now). There are two types of microdermabrasion: professional (in a doctor or aesthetician's office) and at-home.
The professional procedure works like this: the specialist performing it uses a hand held device to spray a high pressure flow of micro crystals over your skin, thus exfoliating the uppermost layer of skin. This is how superficial scars, wrinkles, age spots and dull skin are diminished or even removed.
At-home kits use micro crystal creams that have to be massaged onto the skin to produce the same abrading effect.
Both are more then an exfoliation process: they also stimulate collagen production, helping cells renew faster. Professional microderma is more effective than all at-home kits.
Both types of microdermabrasion can be performed after you turn 14.
Professional microdermabrasion can only be performed with at least 2 week breaks between treatments (to let skin recover after being abraded), while at-home products can be used several times a week.
If you want to try the treatment, you can start with some samples of at home kits (try them for a few days before spending real money on the product that’s best for you).
Hope this helps and good luck.

Is it bad to wear a lot of makeup, and be obsessed with beauty.?
I've been wearing makeup since 10 years old, started with Mum's old mascaras and now I'm 22 years old and studying Beauty Therapy and I use oh so much makeup/skincare products. I use microdermabrasion, pedis/manis, mud baths, exfoliation, face wash, fake bake, face makeup, I go running, hair care... the whole works. I dress fairly plainly, mainly just jeans/denim skirts or shorts and singlets ... but I love the whole makeup thing. I just want to know if its bad to wear so much makeup? I could talk all day about skincare and makeup. And I want to help other people with their makeup as well. I'm a 22 yo Caucasian female.
if it makes you happy, and is not causing any problems in ur life, its okay.
