New to using foundation primer HELP!?

Here is my routine....First clean then moisturize with Merle Norman shine control hydrator. Then apply Skindinavia makeup and eye primer just one pump. Then apply Merle Norman total finish compact foundation with a dry sponge. Sometimes I will have to wash my face and start over because my foundation will be rolling up into little balls all over my face what am I doing wrong. I have recently added primer to my routine so I am not really familiar with all the do's and dont's. I have combination oily in the t-zone and prone to breaking out. But the rest of my face is very dry.

Okay, after your wash your face, use a moisturizer, then put the primer only where you need it!(on rough areas, or where your skin is bumpy), but kind of dab it on with your finger, don't wipe it all over your face. Same with the foundation, only put a little bit of the moisturizer on the sponge (or wet it in the sink, then squeeze most of it out before you apply your foundation) And same as the primer, dab the foundation to blend it in, don't wipe it. Only use a little bit at a time, then when you need more dip the sponge back in the foundation.
The rolling up thing is probably because you have too much of something, and applying it wrong.

REVIEW: Biore Shine Control Moisturiser

Oily Face And Oily Skin

Do you have an oily face? It can be quite annoying, right? Especially when you're taking photos. The shine can be quite the embarassing sight. Do you really want that on Facebook? There are a few ways you can avoid having an oily face through the day, and even through the night. First of all, you can try using oil blotting sheets from time to time. You can buy these at your local chemist. They are pretty darn cheap too. You can simply go to a toilet and smother a sheet all over your face to get rid of any excess oil and you'll be as good as new. It's that simple. You can also try using oil controlling powder. This is powder you apply to your face which will help keep your face oil free throughout the day. You can also reapply it from time to time if you feel the powder is fading or coming off. Oil controlling powder seems to be really effective as I've tried it myself. Another thing you can try is oily skin moisturisers and cleansers. These were specially made for people with oily skin so you can be sure that they will help alleviate and prevent your oily skin problem. These products are quite expensive though, so you might have to shell out a bit more money for these. Overall, anyone and everyone looks so much better with oil-free skin. You look clean, younger, and fresh. Trust me, once you get rid of the excess oil on your face, you will really notice the difference. You may even look alot different than how you usually look, and yes, it can really make that much of a difference. Oily skin can make you look older and more "mature".
