Murad Acne Kits
Has anyone tired Murad?
I have pretty bad acne on my chin and lower cheeks, and mild acne on my forehead. My skin is very sensitive, oily skin and my current cleanser (Dermalogica) is drying out my skin. I heard that the Murad Acne Kit really helps acne... But I also read some pretty bad reviews. Has anyone tried this product? Pros? Cons? Do you recommend it? PLEASE help I'm desperate!!
Although I have never tried the Acne Kit, I have tried several products from Murad. I use the Clarifying Toner (which is not included in the kit, although many people say that it should be). I have to admit, though, I use the toner less on my face than on other parts of my body (like my back since it sometimes breaks out, or my bikini line after I shave to help prevent ingrowns). The reason for this is that, in my experience, although the toner does not sting (which is why it is great for irritated and sensitive skin), it can also be a bit drying. If your skin is dry/flaky, then I would not use this toner on your face. But if your skin is oily, then this is a good toner for you to try.....I also love the "cooling" sensation it provides 
I also own the Acne Spot Treatment (which I also think is not included in the Acne Kit, but I'm not sure). I like that it is made with sulfur and Licorice extract (as opposed to Benzoyl Peroxide which is very strong and is what most drugstore spot-treatments are made of). I DO use this spot treatment on my face which, like yours, is sensitive and I am pleased with the results. Even if the blemish doesn't "banish" overnight, it usually speeds up the process. It is also good if you feel a pimple coming on....just put some on the spot and it often prevents it from becoming a big huge pimple.
Finally, I have tried the Pomegranate Moisturizer (which is not part of the Acne Kit....that one is, I believe, called the "Clarifying Moisturizer"). This product I was NOT pleased with. It was not irritating or anything like that, but it DEFINITELY did not provide enough moisturization. Granted, at the time I tried it, I did not realize that the Pomegranate product line is meant for oily skin types (which mine is dry/combination). So, all I can say is that if your skin is dry, this moisturizer is not for you. If it is oily, then you will probably like it. I cannot give an opinion, however, on the moisturizer which comes in the Acne Kit because I never tried it.
One thing I can definitely say about Murad (in my experience) is that the products are non-irritating. I may have found that certain products did not work for me, but I didn't break out from them or anything like that...they just didn't work. But everyone's skin is different. If you log onto Murad's official site, I believe they offer a discounted price the first time you try the Acne Kit. If you have tried a bunch of things which haven't worked and are looking for something new, Murad would be good to try.

Murad acne complex kit vs Proactiv & Neutrogena acne kit?
Please help somebody i dont know which one to get, I have like a million blackheads on my nose and theyve been there for years, and i want them gone for good!I also have a few pimples here and there but blackheads are my major problem, and they make my skin so oily. Which kit is best??

i have used murad i didnt see much difference in my skin... but it did not overdry my skin which is always a plus... i never used pro-activ and i find it a little bit 2 expensive. my best friends sister used it and it worked at first but after a while she still continued to break out n idk wat she uses now
right now im using clinique's acne kit but unless u have very oily skin.. i find it wayyy to drying (which sux cuz i absolutly love clinique) also the foam wash... yea while its easy 2 use n comes off easily.. it doesnt have a deep clean...
ok so ur not even looking into clinique... (but hey if sum1 mentions about clinique.. u already have an answer about that) im just waiting for the bottles 2 finish up n then i am going to use neutrogena's acne kit.. i'll tell u how it is after i start using it

i also have the same problem with blackheads... and i bought the "Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub" which i am using now i LOVE IT! it's probably the only thing that really got deep into my pores n cleaned them well... i noticed right away that i had a deeper clean.. when i zoomed into the mirror 2 look at my skin closer... there were less! n now my forehead, my nose, and cheeks r clearing up! its also a gentle scrub so it gets rid of dead skin and and because its gentle u can use it everyday or even twice a day but its not so gentle where it doesnt get the job done
there are also conditioning beads that softens ur skin... but doesnt leave ur skin oily at all!
trust me.. give this a shot...
sorry i dont know much about the neutrogena acne kit yet but if blackheads r the problem.. i think u need 2 try something that targets blackheads and not just the pimples

NEUTROGENA
-the skin polishing acne cleanser: salicylic acid 0.5% + microfine beads
-oil-free spf 15 lotion (day): SPF 15 -proprietary botanical comples (helps calms skin and protect it from the sun)
-the acne control lotion (night):
benzoyl peroxide 2.5%
the blackhead eliminating daily scrub has 2% salicylic acid
CLINIQUE
cleansing foam: salicylic acid 2%
clarifying lotion: salicylic acid 1.5% (this is more like a toner btw)
clearing moisturizer: benzoyl peroxide 2.5%
MURAD
cleanser: salicylic acid 1.5%
exfoliating acne treatment gel: salicylic acid 1%
acne spot treatment: sulfur 3%
skin perfecting lotion: nothing...
(no wonder y this one didnt work well for me.. its pretty weak)
PROACTIV
renewing cleanser: benzoyl peroxide 2.5%
Toner: nothing
repairing lotion: benzoyl peroxide 2.5%
i also have a lil secret about pimples... use neosporin or other antibiotic creams that u use on cuts to heal faster... they kill the germs in the pimple and help make it do down faster plus... it heals ur cuts if u popped any... but only use it at night.. n wash it off in the morning otherwise ull have a shine on parts of ur face >.<
