fastest way to get rid of back acne before the summer?
okay so like i have back acne on the top of my back. I need the fastest and a cheaper way to get rid of it. right now i wash it wish neutrogena body scrub in the shower and use astringent and a 10% benzoyl peroixde cream. it has gotten better, but it wont fully go away. and i really want to get rid of it before summer. Another question. If i get a sunburn, will that get rid of it? ive heard it will, but i wasnt sure. thanks for the help:)
Best recommendation is to go to the tanning bed. If you are concerned about the health of your skin, it only takes about three visits (but generally depends on the breakout). Most everyone I know has used this and finds it not only clears up (particularly) back acne but also prepares you for your "day in the sun" during summer vacation. Most tanning businesses have special rates if you go more often or if you shop right you can find a good deal for single visits. Just be smart with your skin health and don't over do it.
Treating back acne is harder than treating facial acne. This is because the blemishes on the back are usually deep and highly inflamed. This condition is also characterized by large cysts as well as nodules that have the potential to cause significant scarring. This type of infection occurs on the back or on the buttocks. When excess sebum is produced, the pores and the hair follicles are clogged creating a conducive environment for bacteria. The presence of bacteria leads to this condition. You need to treat both back and body acne aggressively. This has to be done with the help of a dermatologist.
If you have a mild case or you only have occasional breakouts, over-the-counter body wash can be effective. Buy a body wash that contains either benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Use this product on a daily basis but be careful not to scrub too aggressively because this can only worsen the situation.
Some of the body washes that are also effective in treating back acne include Murad Acne Body Wash, Phisoderm Anti-blemish Body Wash and Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash. Others include Acne Free Acne Body Wash and OXY Body Wash.
If these products are not working for you, then it is better to see a dermatologist who may recommend a benzoyl peroxide gel, lotion or cleanser. Lower concentrations of this medication are effective and some of them can also be purchased over the counter. Normally, the back can withstand higher percentages than the face. Benzoyl peroxide products such as gels and lotions are to be applied to a cleansed back once or twice a day.
