What's the strongest acne medication you know of?
What is the strongest, legal, acne treatment you know of. Prescription and non prescription. My skin gets used to whatever I use so I need something to kill the acne, and do it fast.
Accutane (Isotretinoin) is the strongest pill you can get. Most dermatologists will only prescribe it for severe cases of acne (cystic acne). The strongest topical acne treatment I've come across is Differn Gel .3%. You can also get high doses of a benzoyl peroxide gel, up to 10%.

Acne Treatments, whats good?
I've tried prescriptions, all sorts of non-prescriptions over the years, nothing phased my acne, anyone else found something that works?
I have been to a dermatologist, I was on acutane and have tried beynzol peroxide, antibiotics, and countless prescription and non prescription creams at the advice of my dermatologist. Its a small town where I live though and frankly, he doesn't seem to be very knowledgeable about ways to combat the acne. Currently I am just using an acne wash and special wipes that are supposed to help, the acne is a lot better than it was on the other medications oddly, but it just doesn't go away. I had to stop acutane b/c my eczema got critically bad while on it. It seems to me like I'm out of options unless I travel a few hours to see a more experienced dermatologist who might have some of the mentioned options. I'm in my 20's and am no longer a teenager, I had hoped it would go away.
ok iv been struggling with it since middle school and im 17 now, iv tried everything topical you can think of and nothing seems to have lasting results. iv been put on antibiotics too and though they help i still have pimples. if you are a girl you can try birth control or if your face is really bad you can try accutane which is guaranteed results, the only thing keeping me from using it are it possible life long dangerous side effects and my face isnt like super bad, but ther have been many success stories using it
