Oil Free Cleansers How do you keep your face acne free?
Tell me your home remedies or what product works best for you (that isn't so costly).
I'm 14, I DO clean my face, I wear make-up to cover them up but I always wash it off before I got to bed. I use an oil-free cleanser thingy twice a day. But they won't get the hell off my face? Oh and proactiv doesn't work for me, trust me I've tried all that expensive crap.
try these!
These are safe as well as quite easy on your pocket.
Step1
Resist the urge to attack when these plugged sebaceous glands pop up. In other words, don't pop your pimples, this can cause infections and even scarring.
Step2
Keep in mind that a combination of hormonal activity, a buildup of bacteria and the shedding of dead skin cells causes pimples. Do what you can to prevent a breakout by establishing a skin-care routine appropriate for your skin type.
Step3
Have patience. It could take up to one month for a blemish to disappear completely. The less you poke at it, the better.
Step4
Buy an antibacterial, oil-free concealer that can blend the redness of the pimple into your own skin color. Green shades tend to offset redness the best. (This might not be an option for those who don't wear makeup.)
Step5
Try a facial mud mask. This may shrink a pimple.
Step6
Realize that despite the happy teens in the commercials, "zit zapping" solutions, medications you apply directly to pimples, don't do much more than dry out the top layer of skin covering the pimples. These medications don't provide a long-term cure.
Step7
If you are going to break the rules by "extracting the blemish," aesthetician-speak for popping your pimple, wash your hands, then lightly squeeze the top of the pimple with a tissue or cotton swab. Clean the area thoroughly when you're done. If nothing happens, leave the pimple alone until it's ready to pop.
Step8
Apply a benzol peroxide acne medication to the pimple and avoid applying medication to the surrounding area.

Olive Oil Facial Cleansers - A Deadly Mistake Uncovered And How You Can Avoid It
A lot of companies are adding olive oil into their skin care products. You might find it a bit surprising, but the fact is that olive oil facial cleansers are in no way better than other facial cleansers. Find out the scientific facts in this article.
The most primary reason for this is that olive oil does not have the cleansing properties. It is good as a moisturizer or skin softener, but as far as cleansers are concerned, adding olive oils is just a marketing strategy of the companies to sell their products. A small amount of olive oil does not do any noticeable benefit to the skin.
Majority of the skincare companies also use a lot of synthetic chemicals in their products which are extremely hazardous to health. These are some of them which you should avoid --
Acryl amide -- studies have shown that it plays a huge role in causing breast tumors.
Fragrances -- they can refer to more than 4000 types of synthetic chemicals which are used to create a nice smell in skincare products. They affect the central nervous system and cause problems like hormonal disruptions, hyperactivity, irritability and depression.
Parabens -- they are the most commonly used preservatives because they are cheap. They are carcinogens and cause irritability, rashes and cancerous breast tumors!
Some other harmful chemical substances to avoid are mineral oils, nitrosamines, alcohols, triclosan and phenol carbolic acid.
In general olive oil facial cleansers, the benefits of olive oil are wiped off by the hazardous chemical substances used. Besides that, it cannot be used by people of all skin types -- especially oily skin people.
The best approach for effective cleansing is to look for skin care products that contain natural plant-based active ingredients; that are scientifically proven in their anti-aging and skin rejuvenation capabilities.
Make sure of two things -- one, that they should be free of any type of synthetic chemicals and two, the natural ingredients should be in at least 50% concentration so that they can give the best results in skin health.
This will ensure that you get the best skin cleansing without any side effects. Look for cutting edge natural ingredients such as Cynergy TK, Phytessence Wakame, Nano-Lipobelle H EQ10 and active Manuka honey in the best cleansers.
They are scientifically proven to enhance the youth giving proteins collagen and elastin. They not only clean the skin, but they make it younger by active enzymes and vital nutrients. They revitalize the skin deeply and make it young, smooth and creamy complexioned.

actually i had a troubling acne problem. There are 3 ways to fight the war against acne: over the counter treatments (like proactive or department store acne face washes), dermatologist prescribed ointments or creams (such as differin), or prescribed oral medications. I have tried all 3 and I will give you the rundown on them all.
OVER THE COUNTER TREATMENTS:
most acne face washes contain benzoyl peroxide, which is most effective for whiteheads and teenage acne. But sometimes (like in my case), even if you are a teenager benzoyl peroxide products may not be effective. What I have found to be highly effective in both teenage and adult acne, & also whiteheads and blackheads, are products with Solicylic acid. If the 12 year old girl your refering to really likes Clean & Clear products I would recomend their blackhead clearing scrub. When I used it, i saw improvement in my acne in about a couple of weeks.
DERMATOLOGIST PRESCIBED OINTMENTS/GELS:
These types of medication are not too expensive depending on which ones you use. On average they may run from around $45-120 a tube. I used Differin which was about $50. All you do is apply the cream once a day after cleansing the face. The tubes usually last about a month or so and usually releive the acne symptoms within a couple of weeks. The problem with these products is that they quite frequently cause skin irratation (redness and peeling).
ORAL MEDICATIONS:
I would suggest that she go to her doctor and ask about an antibacterial medication called MINOCYCLINE. It's a pill taken twice a day and is very inexpensive, in fact most insurance companies will cover it. My great-grandma and I are covered by medicare and they are able to pay the full cost. This type of drug doesn't need to be prescribed by a derm, you can get a prescription from your family doctor or any clinic. With this medication, her face should be totally acne free within 3 weeks. I've been using it for a year and a half and have not had a pimple since. hope this helps.
