My face has gotten somewhat dry,and the light oil free moisturizer i am using is not working right now.what is a good Moisturizer thats oil freee,but still gives realy good moisture.Something i can buy over the coounter of course.

Oil-Free Moisturizers: No, You Don't Need Them!

You don't need an oil-free moisturizer.

Today, a lot of cosmetic companies are advertising their products as "oil-free." So products that contain oil must be bad, right? Wrong!

For hundreds of years, cosmetic companies have used mineral oil and petroleum derivatives in their products. What we know now is that mineral oil and petroleum are terrible for your skin - rather than absorbing in, mineral oil sits on the top layer of skin, clogging pores. The result is breakouts, flaking, itching, dryness, and a decrease in the production of the skin's own natural oils.

So while many big-name companies continue to use mineral oil in their moisturizers (yes, they actually still use cheap, harmful mineral oil as a main ingredient!), other companies have developed "oil-free" products that contain no mineral oil or petroleum derivatives. In fact, "oil-free" products typically contain no oils of any kind - they contain only chemicals that can be just as bad for you as the mineral oil they're replacing. The fact is, however, that plant oils, like cocoa butter, shea butter, jojoba, and apricot oil, are the best kind of ingredients you can use on your skin. They absorb easily, delivering important nutrients that your skin needs to stay healthy, like Omega fatty acids and antioxidants. They are wholesome and natural, and your skin needs them.

So the next time you see a moisturizer or bath product that is "oil-free," you can avoid it, knowing that there are better ways to take care of your skin. It just makes sense to treat your skin with natural, healthy ingredients - not man-made, processed chemicals.
