Olive Oil Acne Treatment

I used a home remedy for acne and now...PLEASE HELP ME!!!?


I used a home remedy for acne treatment that consisted of honey, sugar, and extra virgin olive oil, though I didn't use much of the EVOO. I followed the directions (apply and wait two minutes, wash off with a hot rag.) I also applied some lotion just now. But my face is burning! I don't know why, and I'm not allergic to honey, sugar, or EVOO. If you have any insight, please share!

My acne isn't too bad, but I have five-ish noticeable zits I wanted to take care of. After I applied the paste, my face was alot smoother, but I don't know what's up now. PLEASE HELP ME!!

It kind of feels like a sunburn now...

You might not be allergic to those things but your skin might just be sensitive. Get a cold wash cloth and keep that on your face for a while to help the burning go down.

well i have acne.. its not terrible.. but its there and its noticeable when im not wearing makeup and i want most of it to be gone in a week or two. but i have heard of a lot of different masks and stuff that you can use

-aspirin and honey mask
-egg mask (using the white first and then the yolk)
-sugar scrub with honey, olive oil, and sugar
-plain honey
-honey and cinnamon mask thing

so i was wondering.. have you tried any of these? which ones work the best and take the least amount of time to start showing results? do you know of any other homemade acne masks/treatments that work well? and don't tell me to go out and buy stuff.. ive tried proactive.. and it works great.. but i don't have the money to spend on it. thanks for the help!!

try Lemon Facial Mask twice weekly

This type of mask is especially beneficial for oily skin and skin that is prone to breaking out in pimples because the lemon acts as a natural clarifying agent. However, a lemon facial mask will leave you feeling refreshed, pampered and invigorated .

* Put 4 tbsp. flour, 4 tbsp. yogurt and 1 tsp. lemon juice into a bowl.

* Mix them together thoroughly to make a paste.

* Apply the paste to your entire face, except for the eye area, with your fingertips.

* Leave the lemon facial mask on your face for 15 to 20 minutes.

* Wash the paste off your face with warm water.

* Rinse your entire face with cold water and pat dry with a soft towel.
