for the past week or so i have had a few acne spots above my nose, between my eye brows. most of them are drying up and becoming less red...but there is one (which is the largest and was extremely painful and red before) that has now became a very hard bump, pretty much skin colored and not very painful unless pushed hard. on the skin its kinda dry, peeling skin but the majority of the bump seems to below the skin. could it possibly be a cyst? should i go to the doc, or do you think it will go away? anything that will help?
fyi, i have been washing my face a fair bit and applying a cream containing 2% salicylic acid and 1.5% hydrogen peroxide (called Clearasil Ultra Vanishing Treatment Cream) 1 to 2 times daily. I also wipe my face with Clearasil Ultra Cleansing Pads sometimes (containing same medicinal ingredients)
if its' been there awhile you might want to see a derm they can inject cortisone into the pimple and then it will disappear within 2 to 3 days after being injected.
Help!! My skin is really dry and is acne-prone...!!!?
My skin is really dry every time after I wash my face. I think it is because I overused my acne cream. It contains sulfur as the main ingredient. The skin peels and I have to use a moisturizer. However, after a few hours, my face will become quite oily, especially around the nose area.
Should I switch my acne cream to Dalacin T (lotion)? Is it good? Please give me reviews. Also, I am now on a course of antibiotics (doxycycline). I use Neutrogena Deep Clean cleansing foam to wash my face. Right now, my face has some pimples but the acne scars are quite obvious. Do topical creams get rid of them?
Please help me! Thanks a lot!!
drink more water
and stop being so hard on your face
over washing it can make it dry and prone to acne
