I am just wondering how important it is for skin to skin contact. Because i know i will want to hold my son right after he is born and i do not care if he is clean or what not. Plus i just lost my boyfriend (He died) and i know this baby is apart of him so i know i still have a piece of my boyfriend through our son.

From 1-10 10 being the most important i would give it a 15!!!!

Was there anything else I should have done last night for my 2 year old daughter at the emergency urgent care?


Yesturday, my daughter was running and fell flat on her face. She winded up tearing that little piece of skin that connects the inside of your top lip to the gums between your two front teeth. The doctor examined her teeth (top and bottom) and then looked at the torn skin. The outcome was "she'll be fine". No stitches (which is okay because I wouldn't want to put my little girl through stitches), no medications, nothing. Should something have been done? What is that part scientifically called? Do you think that it'll heal back? Can torn skin grow back to it's original spot? Thanks in advance..
