Pimple Try Simplex

A cold sore or not?....?


Yesterday I felt a small swelling in the corner of my bottom lip. When I looked in the mirror it just looked like a swollen pimple with a white head. I tried to pop it, but it didn't go away. It bled a little and then dried up. It's still there today. There was never any tingling and it doesn't hurt.

My partner has herpes simplex virus in one eye from when he was a kid. He hasn't had a serious break-out since we've been together. Although a month ago he got red and irritated skin around the eye, but he just used eye drops for that.

So, is this a cold sore? Could I have caught herpes symplex from him, even though he hasn't had an outbreak?

i wouldnt think so...probably just a pimple...or you could have hurt it while eating...i did by eating a tater chip and it nicked the corner of my mouth
