Prescription Topical Acne Medicine
Dermatologist mild acne prescriptions safe?
I can be a bit of a health freak about some stuff. Would the medicine a dermatologist prescribes for mild acne be harmful in anyway to my health? I'm pretty sure it will be a topical cream, or soap.
If you don't know is there a way for me to find out? Do you think my dermatologist would be honest with me about the health concerns?
Thank you!!
Yes, your dermatologist would get his/her license revoked if they knowingly gave you a bad prescription. There will be side effects (which are usually just dried out skin or something like that unless you are allergic) but your dermatologist judges that the benefits for you outweigh the risk of side effects. But just make sure you let them know about any drug allergies you have.
