Could I Use Proactiv Deep Cleansing Wash in place of the Renewing Cleanser?
I found the deep cleansing wash pretty cheap and i would like to buy it, but i have been previously using the renewing cleanser, which worked very well. i was wandering if the deep cleansing wash would be harmful or not as effectiv as the renewing cleanser. all answers appreciated.
Either is fine, keeping in mind that we really do not need any of those products.

Review: WHY I HATE PROACTIV!
Proactiv renewing cleanser?
are the proactiv renewing cleanswer and toner really necessary? i realize the lotion is important but do i need to use the cleanser or can i just use anti-bacterial soap or something else non irritating before i use the lotion?
FOREWARNING: I tend to write a lot. If that doesn't intimidate you, read on!
It really is important that you use all 3 together. They are specifically designed to work with each other, each step preparing your skin for the next. Plus, you can't get the same ingredients in a soap that you would using ProActiv. ProActiv has two vital ingredients to treating acne: Benzoyl Peroxide, and salycic acid. Not only do they help target acne-causing bacteria, but they help get rid of it for longer. However, proactiv has a terrible drying and irritation effect on most skin. That's why they started advertising the "green tea moisturizer," in order to replenish all of that moisture lost during washing. I couldn't afford to do all that, PLUS the moisturizer, so I decided to start buying "AcneFree" by University Medical. I would highly suggest this as opposed to proactiv. It works quite well, and doesn't irritate or dry out my skin like proactiv. It's also about $30 cheaper, but still comes in that 3-piece kit, like proactiv. If you want, you can even use this system, them substitute the proactiv lotion. Since AcneFree uses almost all the same ingredients, you'll be getting very similar results. (minus the redness and irritation). Good luck!
