Proactive Acne Formula
I have EXTREME acne and I don't know what to do ... help !!?
I have like really extreme acne. but also I have like super sensitive skin . I tried every thing .. I tried formulas.. home made remedys.. toothpaste... honey... vinigar... and I don't want to spend money on like proactive which I tried for about 3 months and was not helpfull at all .. I really want a acne solution that is simple .. or cheap but very effective .. and I eat a very balanced diet of foods.. also I wash my face more than 5 times a day .. I barely even touch my face.. i drink alot of water too. please I need some kind of remedy or product that is affordable .. doesn't dry my skin out... affective.. and can make me feel confident and beautifull.. please I hope someone understands my situation and can help me.. if there is a good solution for acne then I don't care how long i have to do it ..

okok first off calm down! lol ok well dont wash ur face 5 times a day. that not hoe pimple form, they form underneath the skin weeeks bfore u see them. and u have sensitive skin? THAT EXPLAINS IT. ppl think acne is from dirty skin, no its wen the skin is irritated alot, esp for sensitivity. ok ok first off. put down the acne pads and high chemical stuff. simply wash ur face with a scrub or a pimple clear up wash. used by direction. then, always, and everydayoco-butter lotion on ur face. it will HELP ALOT. ok... um and thats it i guess. cocobutter helps me with my acne and now i have clear skina nd now once in awhile i use a fruit scrub.=] hoped i helped!

My Experience with Proactiv - A Review on Their New Formula
Is proactiv's gentle formula any better then the original proactive?
I've been using Proactiv's New 3-Step 90 Day System kit for a little over a month and I'm somewhat happy with it. It cleared up my acne ok but I just had a pretty bad break out last week and I'm not to happy about it. I've been switching between Proactiv and Clearasil because Proactiv has been very drying to my chin and cheeks. I actually got redness around my lower eyes but that went away. I'm curious about trying Proactiv's gentle formula and seeing if it works better on my skin and reduces the drying. Has anyone ever used it or switched to it?
Proactiv has benzoyl peroxide as an active ingredient. The gentler version has salicylic acid in it.
Salicylic acid has worked well for me, but it depends on how your skin and your type of acne. It is also worth noting that benzoyl peroxide can age your skin due to free radical damage. So you might want to give the Gentle Formula a try.
