Radiance Clarifying Cleanser Which of the following products would you recommend?
Okay, so I am changing my skin care routine and want to know which out of the following you would use, and how often * I am 15 years old, and have combination skin. It can get quite dry under my eyes, but I have quite an oily t zone, and get spots and blackheads mainly on my chin.
CLEANSERS
Blemish Complex Clarifying Cleanser
Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Cleansing Foam
No 7 Radiance Boosting Hot Cloth Cleanser
TONERS
Lush Breath of Fresh Air
Simple Soothing Toner
MOISTURISERS
Boots Experts Anti Blemish Day Moisturiser SPF 15
Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil Free Moisturiser
SCRUBS
St Ives Gentle Apricot Scrub
Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose in It
Soap & Glory The Greatest Scrub of All
OTHERS
Simple Regeneration Serum Pads
Soap and Glory The Fab Pore 15 Minute Facial Peel
I've got the same skin type as you and I've used most of the products you've mentioned so perfect question haha
Cleanser: I used the clinique anti- blemish foam cleanser for a couple of months and it really cleared my skin and I had significantly less blemishes, but it did leave my skin feeling quite tight and dry so I used a heavier moisturiser with it.
Toner: I haven't used either of the ones you've mentioned, but I've heard that a lot of people use the Lush one as a finishing spray for their make- up as opposed to using it as a cleanser, so I think the simple one would be better
Moisturiser: I've used the Neutrogena moisturiser before and it was ok, it's nothing special but if you choose to get the clinique cleanser, it would probably be better going for something like cocoa butter which is a lot more moisturising and also it helps even out your skin tone and will diminish acne scaring/ scars etc.
Scrub: Definitely the St Ives, I've used it for ages and I LOVE it!
Other: I have used the Soap and Glory Facial Peel and it did absolutely nothing for my skin!
The Estee Lauder serums are amazing, they're quite expensive but well worth it, you can see a noticeable difference in your skin! The pore minimiser by them is my favourite
Make Up Advice - What To Do Before Applying Makeup
There are a few steps that you can take everyday before applying your makeup. Be careful with your skin, and decide on a really good routine for proper skin care. Break out of any old habits that may keep you from looking your best. Get yourself a beauty regimen in place, one that will compliment the contours and features of your skin. Start glowing and looking more radiant. With a new skin care routine, you will feel better, and your skin will thank you for it.
Before you dive into your cosmetics bag, take a look at your face. Do an upclose and personal analysis, and look for subtle changes like freckles, moles, acne, or just simply dry skin. You will want to work with your imperfections, and resolve to cover them with the best skin care treatments possible. A good makeup mirror is best for viewing your face, I like the ones that are magnified.
Cleanse The Face Thoroughly
Always wash your face before you apply makeup. This prepares the skin for the makeup, and removing dirt and oil is essential to keep your skin clear and radiant. A good cleansing lotion, or moisturizing bar of facial soap will do the trick. Some good brands include pHisoderm pH Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash, Burt's Bees Facial Cleanser, and Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser. These deep cleansing treatments will leave you feeling refreshed, while preparing your face for makeup.
Remember to choose a facial cleanser that is appropriate for your skin type. Gently massage your cheeks, forehead, chin, nose, and the area around your mouth. Be careful not to get any soap in your eyes. Apply the cleanser right back to your hair line, and follow the instructions on the product. Rinse your face clean, and then apply a good toner.
Try A Good Facial Toner
Some really effective facial toners include Clinique Clarifying Lotion, Burt's Bees Rosewater and Glycerin Toner, and Dermalogica Multi Active Toner.
Skin toners are wonderful for shrinking your pores, and they also tend to freshen your face by tightening your skin. There are lots of ways to apply a toner. My favorite method is just to use cotton balls. Simply apply a little facial toner to the cotton ball, and trace along your face, again avoiding the eyes, until you have spread the solution across your face. You will want to rinse the solution off with warm water, following the instructions on the product.
Moisturize
Being over 40, I like to apply a light moisturizer before putting on my makeup. It keeps my skin fresh looking especially if I want to wear a matte foundation or powder. It's also good for dinishing fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and mouth. Moisturizers are good for adding that extra dewy look to your skin, and it also creates a barrier that keeps moisture in. Some excellent moisturizers that won't dull your foundation include Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream, Bare Escentuals RareMinerals Purely Nourishing Facial Moisturizer, and DML Daily Facial Moisturizer.
It may take additional time to prepare your face for makeup each morning, but it will give you that extra radiance, and spark to start your day on a beautiful note.
