ANything to dry out your skin is a no-no, whcih is EXACTLY what astringents do.
Aveeno products are suppposed to be great.
I prefer Retin-A prescribed by my dr. ALso, look at the products you use daily on your face.
Are they causing buildup? You're going to need a product that can take things away without "stripping." I bought a really good product at one of those home "parties" called Beauticontrol and it's awesome. You use a gentle toner afterwards (this doesn't have to be "Beauticontrol") but your face feels very clean afterwards!
