Acne regimen stops working after a while?


I've noticed that after a while the acne medication I use just stops working, for example, I used oxy for a while it worked great but than stopped after awhile, than I switched to clearasil same thing happened, than clean and clear same thing happens, than neutrogena same thing happens. They all worked very well at first, but after awhile they just stopped working and I would break out again. Has this ever happened to anyone else before?

Proactive really doesn't work that well (my dermatologist even says this) so don't waste your money on a year supply- try it out first and see if it works. But you migh build up a resistance too.

You'll probably have to get prescription type acne topicals and face washes, or go the pill route, which usually improve things best(alone or combined with other things)

Also, face wash with sacilyc acid is best, and you may want to try some masks (you can put then on problem areas or your whole face, usually.) The Mint Julep mask (Queen Helene brand) is great, if you don't want to take the prescription/dermatologist route.

0kay s0o0o i wanted t0 kn0w what are s0me people regimen bcuz im trying n0t t0 use benzoyl peroxide i feel lik that is very harsh 0n my skin but i also feel lik i can`t fiqht acne with 0ut it.. s0oo0 i q0in` 2 share mine i use the neutr0qena advance acne s0luti0ns system (salicylic acid cleanser, oil free day moisturizer, and benzoyl peroxide niqht cream).. i currently 0nly use the cleanser, sea breeze astriqent, and the m0isturizer.. d0 y0u guys think this will be effective? *skin type = 0ily/acne pr0ne*.. thankSz =)

go for proactiv i dont have acne but it works for evry1 who does have acne and also i use it anyway and my skind is beautiful smoothe.
