How can I remove blackheads properly, at home?


Hi everyone! I have mixed type skin, it's oily and dry at some spots. My acne has been better lately but my skin if just full of blackheads. Whenever I remove them, I get all red and those pores that I cleared actually turn into red pimples :S. How can I remove them, and avoid all that redness and irritation? Is there any method/routine?

The best way to get rid of blackheads is the same way you get rid of acne:

*Wash with warm (not hot) water. (Do not use cold water as this will just clog pores)
*Use a acne cleanser
*Use a mild exfoliant, like glycolic products or even retinoids
*Use a toner

This should do wonders for your skin if you do it on a daily basis

i hav acne,blackheads,whiteheads. does it wrk if i subject my skin to steam and remove thm with my fingers?
