Proactiv Revitalizing Toner?


I keep on hearing about how Proactiv does great at clearing up acne while you're using it, but it gets your skin addicted, so when you stop using it, your skin breaks out horribly!

Well I was wondering if it would be safe to just use the Toner (I really like the Toner), because I think it's the lotion and cleanser that get your skin addicted?
Or would it be safer to just not use any of it at all?

I've been using Proactiv for a few weeks now and I think it's safe to say my skin's clearer than it used to be, but I'm having trouble seeing myself eventually with the flawless results they advertise. Well, if you're having a problem, I'd say just give it all a go.
You can try the toner first by itself, and if you're happy with those results, keep on using only the toner. Don't mess with it.
However, if you find the toner does nothing, you'll have to decide whether or not to start using the cleanser, repairing lotion, moisturiser etc.
If my skin become addicted to this stuff, that wouldn't matter to me. I'd rather have to keep buying Proactiv than being stuck how I was before.
So yeah, jsut try out the toner first (since you favour that one) and then see how you go from there.

Do I do all 3 Proactiv steps at the same time?


This is my nightly routine and was wondering if I'm doing it right cause the brochure doesn't really state clearly.

1. Renewing Cleanser.. wipe off

2. Revitalizing Toner.. wipe off

3. Repairing Lotion.. let dry

4. Refining Mask.. let dry for 10 minutes then remove

First, you're supposed to use it twice a day (once in the morning and once at night) unless you have sensitive skin. Also, you're supposed to apply the refining mask (and leave it on for ten minutes) after the renewing cleanser and before the revitalizing toner. But, other than that, you're doing it right.
