Rosacea Acne Diet
How to stop eating less carbs? carbohydrates?
I love love bread but because it makes up more than half of my diet, my skin is getting worse and worse (acne AND especially rosacea) any tips to resist temptation?
carbs -> sugar -> fat
fat contributes to oily skin (this is true, people who have low fat diets generally have less oily skin)
Hm. I have slowly stopped eating anything but fruits and veggies. I know thats a little brash, but why don't you cut down a bit on the carbs (try for the majority to be whole wheat) and go the extra mile and take a multi-vitamin.
TIPS: Eat something you'd rather not (fruit, veggies) until you can't eat it any longer. You'll loose your appetite.
Caffeine! Coffee, tea, it reduces your appetite. It has helped me a lot!
Hope all goes well. (I'd assume if you're general health improves, so will your skin!)

How to Treat Rosacea With Diet
Rosacea Symptoms and Remedies
Rosacea is a facial skin disorder - the sad thing is, it cannot be cured instantly but it can at least be controlled to some extent. Rosacea produces red-faced, acne-like effects on the personal appearance and this could cause significant psychological, social and occupational problems if it's left untreated.
Until now the cause of rosacea is unknown and there is no definite cause for it, and worse, there is also no cure for rosacea. But there are some rosacea remedies that are readily available which could actually control the signs and symptoms of this disorder. If you notice any of these following warning signs, it is time to pay a visit to your dermatologist or physician for proper and appropriate diagnosis and so that they could provide you with the proper treatment before the symptoms become severe:
- - There is redness on the cheeks, nose, chin or forehead.
- - There are small visible blood vessels forming on the face.
- - There are bumps or pimples on the face.
- - You have watery or irritated eyes.
You should also remember that without the rosacea remedies the condition could get worse. There are antibiotics, both topical and oral to help manage the problem and also, there are medicines which can reduce the inflammation, like topical steroids. Among the few physician-prescribed medicines, the MetroGel and MetroCream are on top of the list.
Though rosacea cannot be totally cured (at least for now, there is no known cure), you could still do some damage control to lessen the effects of this disease. Here are some rosacea remedies that you could follow to control the symptoms:
- - You should try to avoid harsh facial cleansers and makeup. Also, apply skin care products carefully, and do not rub your face, as this could cause further irritation.
- - Do not expose yourself to extreme temperatures.
- - Keep yourself protected from the sun; you could do this by wearing a sunscreen and protective clothes.
- - Use alternative ointments and creams that are cool to the skin and can double as moisturizers and sunscreen. Face creams with tea extracts are known to reduce rosacea bumps and pustules. Chrysanthemum Indicum creams are also natural remedies for rosacea, and regular application can reduce facial redness in 10-12 weeks.
- - Topical niacimanide cream, with its high concentration of vitamin B3, are also known to improve skin barrier, skim moisture and reduce redness in 3-4 weeks.
- - Rosacea bumps can be caused by food intolerances or allergies. If you suspect this is the case, try to remember food and ingredients on dishes that you ate one or two days ago before your rosacea outbreak. Diet elimination may help pinpoint the culprit, and avoidance can prevent future outbreaks.
- - You should be alert for the factors that trigger your irritation; some people react to spicy foods or medications, so take note of those aggravating factors.
