Safe Pregnancy Acne Treatment
What acne treatments are safe to use during pregnancy?
I'm about 8 weeks pregnant, (give or take) and my skin looks awful! I feel like I'm in the 8th grade again. This is my first pregnancy, so I really don't know what to do and the one sister I have who has had children didn't have this problem. I would ask my doctor....if I had one. I live on a military base and will go to the hospital here....if they wouldn't keep on rescheduling me. I haven't seen the doctor yet, and won't for another 2 weeks. I work in a very professional environment working with the public, and it's not that great having more zits on my chin than a high school marching band. I really don't want to wait another 2 weeks with crappy skin before seeing a doctor. I want to use something that is safe, at least until I can ask my doctor what would be best for me specifically. So can anyone give me some advice on what OTC acne treatments/brands are generally safe to use during pregnancy?
Any suggestions or tips would be helpful! Thanks!
i am having the same problem (minus the military hospital, they were able to fit me in right away, too bad i hate them and was like sorry a-holes i have a doctor off post, screw up some one elses body, our hospital has a bad rep lol)
my skin is awful.
basically from what i understand, benzoyl peroxide is okay and salicylic acid is not.
and i end up popping them and then putting neosporin on them to prevent scars and promote healing
