Simple Cleanser Toner
i used a cleanser, wiped it off and it was purple. what?
i cleansed my faced, using the simple brand cleanser and toner. when wiping bopth the cleanser and toner the cotton wool pads came out in a prpley colour.note that i dont wear makeup, so does anyone know what thats about??
It's a sign that you're not using an organic cleanser to cleanse your face. The purple colour must be the colour of the chemicals in your cleanser. Read the ingredient list on the back: things like parabens, sodium laureth sulfate, petroleum and mineral oil are in more than 90% of beauty products in the market and are actually harmful for the skin. Parabens are used to preserve products and give them a longer shelf life but they can potientally cause cancer whilst sodium laureth sulfate dries out your skin. Mineral oils allow chemicals to penetrate the pores of your skin as well.
This calls for a change in the products you're using. I'd say you use either Weleda and get the Iris Cleanser and Toner (they have seriously ace beauty products, and Jessica Alba uses one of their face creams.) or Neal's Yard Remedies stuff. Organic is relatively more expensive than most brands but it's better to use expensive skincare that helps your skin then a cheap mosturiser that harms it!

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Face Wash?
I've been looking for a new face wash because the one that I've been using isn't doing a great job so I've done a little research and found the Purity face wash by Philosophy.
I've tried a lot of skin care products (proactive, clean & clear, neutrogena, acne clean) but none of them have been really great for me.
This is what I want to know:
Do you have this product? If yes, what do you think?
Is this product good for removing acne if I don't need the makeup remover (I don't wear any makeup)?
It's a cleanser and a toner but is there a moisturizer that goes with it? If not, do you have a moisturizer to recommend?
Are there any local stores that sell it? I know Sephora does but I don't have one where I live and I don't want to buy it online. Maybe Ulta?

.I've used Philosophy for about three yrs and I like it very much. The foam is a new product so of course I had to try it and I like it better because of the foam. It's a great cleanser, but for acne you probably need something medicated in addition. Philosophy also has a good moisturizer called When hope is not enough, however its pricey.Not sure where you can buy it other than on-line. I get mine at QVC.
