healing and renewing skin after accutane?
i did a 6 month cycle of accutane and have been off it for a month now... it worked for me and i feel great. There is one problem though, after all the breakouts my skin is discolored and somewhat scarred on my cheek areas, so i am wondering how am i to get rid of it?
I heard of skin resurfacing procedures such as microdermabrasion and the sort.
If n e one has been through this plz tell me what ur next step after accutane was.

PS. im still goin to my dermatologist in 2 weeks so dont say that i should ask him, cuz i am, i just wanna hear from ppl who did this b4 and can provide me with other advice
i was on accutane when i was younger. the scars suck but if you do microderm abrasion it won't do much. i even went to another surgical dermatologist so see about laser on my face but they said all it would do is smooth out the edges of the scars but they won't go completely away. the only thing that really works is time and good care of your skin from now on. do some home ex-foliation on your face once a week it will help smooth and get rid of some of the bad coloring. good luck to you, i know it is hard but it will get better.
